CLASSIC motorcycle fans are in for a treat on Saturday.
Up to 100 bikes are expected to gather for a display in Morpeth Market Place as the Norton Owners’ Club holds its national rally.
The main event will take place at Morpeth Rugby Club in Mitford Road, but the bikes will be on public display in the centre of town from about 5pm.
Northumbria Branch Secretary John Powell said: “The rally will be at the rugby club, but we have got permission to display these machines in the Market Place after the farmers’ market. It would be nice to see the public there because there is usually a huge amount of interest.
“We have 115 people booked for the rally already, with 88 motorcycles. It could well be over 100 motorcycles by the time it happens.”
