THERE should be plenty of April Fools’ Day laughs in Longhirst with a top comedy evening in store.
Longhirst Hall is due to stage its first stand-up night tomorrow, featuring comedians from across the north.
Headlining the event is high-octane motormouth Anvil Springstein, who has honed his act over 20 years on the circuit.
Support comes from Dave Twentyman, whose likeable and relatable style makes audiences feel like they’re listening to an old friend in the pub, and there is Ben Lawes, who combines wicked one-liners with thoughtful observations and dry wit.
Completing the line-up is Ray Kane, whose unique act can include wit, song and even visual tomfoolery.
The fun begins at 7.30pm. Tickets cost £9.50, available from Longhirst Hall or online at www.wegottickets.com
