A MAN regarded by many as one of Britain’s most gifted mediums is coming to Morpeth later this month.
Steve Holbrook says he has been able to hear the spirit world’ since childhood and he has been doing readings at venues across the country and abroad for a number of years.
He describes himself as a telephone exchange between this world and the next and while many mediums see the spirits they connect with, Mr Holbrook hears them so he is known as a clairaudient rather than a clairvoyant.
He has even been asked by the police to help with a murder investigation.
Mr Holbrook has a down-to-earth, sympathetic approach towards his mediumship and promises an emotional rollercoaster ride for his audiences and he believes that even hardened critics and sceptics will leave his demonstration uncomfortably challenged.
He says the information that is given to him, which can sometimes seem rather trivial to an onlooker, is always so personal to the recipient of the message.
He will be appearing at Riverside Lodge in High Stanners, Morpeth, on Sunday, May 27, from 7.30pm. Tickets are £16 in advance on 0191 501 7444, or £17 on the door.
He has raised tens of thousands of pounds for charities in the last decade and is currently collecting funds for PACT, a Sheffield-based charity that helps terminally ill children all over the country who have cancer and leukaemia.
There will be a bucket collection for it on the evening.
