A POPULAR local orchestra will be renewing its acquaintance with Mitford at the return of its annual concert.
The Bewick Orchestra will perform at St Mary Magdalene Church in the village on Saturday.
The programme includes Bach’s Violin Concerto in E major, for which the soloist will be Edward Cross, Beethoven’s King Stephen Overture and Symphony No. 35 in D (Haffner) by Mozart.
The concert will be led by Anna Hatch, with Michael Doswell as conductor.
Tickets cost £8, £5 for under 18s, and include a glass of wine or orange juice. They are available from Morpeth Tourist Information Centre in The Chantry, or on the door. The concert begins at 7.30pm, with proceeds in aid of the West End Refugee Service.
