CHOIRS were in fine voice at a Morpeth concert to raise more than £800 for a music charity.
Morpeth Silver Singers teamed up with New Voices for a concert at St George’s United Reformed Church in the town to support the 20,000 Voices singing charity.
The Northumberland organisation launched an appeal in May to raise £20,000 by January to keep its various singing activities going as it is struggling in the difficult economic climate.
The Morpeth concert was a huge success, raising an impressive £821.30 for the appeal.
Organisers are grateful for the support they received, including choir members’ donations of raffle prizes and refreshments for the interval, and wish to thank the audience for their generosity.
