Concert season ends on a high

THE final concert in Morpeth Music Society’s 2011/12 season will be a performance from the Badke Quartet.

Members of the string group have all studied at the Royal Academy of Music or Royal College of Music and they have performed internationally.

The current line-up is now first violin Lana Trotovšek, second violin Emma Parker, viola Jon Thorne and cello Jonathan Byers.

The pieces will include Haydn’s quartet Op.33 No 1 in B minor and the spirited ‘American’ quartet by Dvorák in F major.

The concert will take place in Morpeth Methodist Church on Thursday, April 12, from 7.30pm.

Tickets cost £12 from the Tourist Information Centre in Morpeth Chantry, the Methodist Church or Society Secretary Mrs Cunningham on 01670 513369. Admission is free for under 18s.
