HIGH school students in Ponteland warmed up the winter with their Christmas Concert.
Ponteland High School’s festively decorated dining room provided the ideal venue for the event, which featured young musicians and singers from the school, as well as the wider community.
Leah Goldie led the school’s I-Tones choir, while further entertainment was provided by its Chocolate String Group, led by former student Rebecca Powton.
Ponteland’s own Community Band, led by Alastair Lord, also took part.
All of the groups performed a mixture of traditional and modern Christmas songs, as well as their favourite non-festive music.
Associate Headteacher Anita Brown said: “The evening was a huge success and left the audience with a warm glow that I’m sure helped insulate them against the rigours of the wintry weather on their way home.”
