FREE summer entertainment has proved a hit with shoppers and businesses.
The first of three open air concerts took place in Morpeth Market Place on Saturday when Along Came Lola took to the stage.
The duo, Lou Cole and Rachel Sage, met at The Sage Academy in Newcastle and have been singing together for two years, performing a mix of jazz, Motown, R&B, soul, pop and disco.
They kicked off a three-week series of entertainment, organised by Morpeth Town Council, the Morpeth and District Chamber of Trade and the Greater Morpeth Development Trust (GMDT).
And with seating borrowed from Morpeth Town Hall, about 200 people gathered to watch the performance.
On Saturday the second free concert will feature singer Zita Frith and guitarist Lloyd Wright, and the season will end on Bank Holiday Saturday with swing/jazz vocalist Jason King.
The Market Place concerts will run from 1pm to 3pm.
