A TEENAGE band got into gear for two performances at the O2 Academy in Newcastle with a gig in their home town.
We Found Nemo took full advantage of an opportunity to play in front of Years 7 and 8 at Newminster Middle School and Technology College.
Ethan McMahon, Jonny Roxburgh, Dylan Ridley and Ben Davis entertained the audience with original songs such as So Long Have a Good One and new number Walk of Shame, which had pupils and staff joining in, plus a couple of selected covers.
The King Edward VI School Year 12 students will be at the Newcastle venue tomorrow evening as one of the bands taking to the stage for The Idols Tour – part of a national battle of the bands contest consisting of 30 shows throughout the UK where artists are competing for a recording prize.
They will return to the O2 Academy on Monday, June 4, to support No Lights at Lockdown, who will have completed their tour with X Factor’s Cher Lloyd and set out on their own.
You can get tickets for both these events online and at the door, but you can also catch up with We Found Nemo locally at the KEVI Battle of the Bands on Wednesday, March 28, and Fram Fest, in Longframlington, on Saturday, May 5.
