Nemo finds a studio session

A MORPETH band has won a recording prize after making their mark on the regional stage.

The Idols Tour, which is part of a national battle of the bands contest, came to the O2 Academy in Newcastle earlier this month and We Found Nemo captivated the audience during their performance.

Members Dylan Ridley, Jonny Roxburgh, Ethan McMahon and Ben Davis had people singing along to old favourites such as Jonny Be Good and Seven Nation Army, but their own material also went down a storm, including new song No More, which had its first public outing, and first single So Long (Have a Good One).

Event organiser Mean Eye Productions was so impressed with the band that it rewarded the King Edward VI School students with a studio session.

We Found Nemo will return to the O2 Academy in June to support No Lights at Lockdown and they will be playing some gigs in Morpeth and north Northumberland in the coming weeks.
