IF music be the food of love, there’s a big serving of romance at a Ponteland restaurant.
For Fratelli Italian restaurant in the village has given a contract to Northumberland singer Pete Brown to perform every other Thursday at the venue. The 38-year-old, who lives in Blyth, has performed at private functions for the past six years, but Fratelli is his first regular public gig.
He will entertain diners with big band classics and modern tracks, including hits by artists such as Frank Sinatra, The Beatles, Take That and The Killers.
Restaurant owner Paul Bernardelli said: “Pete is a fantastic vocalist and really gives the restaurant a unique atmosphere whenever he performs.”
He added: “His regular appearances are an important part of our efforts to enrich the dining experience for all our guests.”
Mr Brown’s next scheduled appearance at the restaurant is on Thursday, July 21, from 7pm until 9.30pm.
