Morpeth singer, songwriter and pianist Anna Corcoran is embarking on a UK tour for her debut album Easier Than Falling, starting at Newcastle Jazz Cafe.
Regularly likened and compared to the talents of Norah Jones and Sarah Maclachlan, the album has been described as “a perfect blend of mellow acoustic pop, with hints of jazz, folk and soul”.
Ms Corcoran’s stunning vocals and subtle piano arrangements, featuring full rhythm section and brass, promise an evening of live musicianship at its best.
A music graduate from Goldsmiths College, London, she was nominated for Female Artist of The Year at the Liverpool Music Awards, and her new album is already receiving critical acclaim after its official release on May 3.
Opening the show is Liverpool Americana singer-songwriter Robert Vincent, who is featured on Ms Corcoran’s album and fresh from being selected by broadcaster Bob Harris to receive the prestigious Emerging Artist Award at the 2016 UK Americana Awards.
Mr Vincent has recently completed a full UK tour supporting Paul Carrack, and during his last visit to the North East he performed to a sell-out crowd at The Sage, Gateshead.
Tickets cost £7. The concert takes place on Wednesday, at 8pm, with doors open at 7.30pm. Book at www.wegottickets.com
