A LEADING international music group is coming to Morpeth.
Morpeth Music Society will welcome the Brodowski string quartet as the stunning finale to its season next Thursday.
The group was established by Polish violinist Martin Brodowski in 2005 and has chalked up success in international chamber music competitions, as well as performing on Radio 3 and in prestigious venues such as the Wigmore Hall.
The Morpeth programme will open with Beethoven’s first Rasumovsky quartet, followed by a short Piazzolla quartet, For for tango. It concludes with the first Tchaikovsky string quartet.
The concert will take place at Morpeth Methodist Church in Howard Terrace on Thursday, April 7, at 7.30pm. Tickets cost £12 from the church, Morpeth Tourist Information Centre and Society Secretary Mrs Cunningham on 01670 513369.
