Villagers’ group looks Stateside for debut concert

A SLICE of American pie will be the dish of the day in Pegswood.

Pegswood Performing Arts group will present a night of music and food from the US of A (the uther side of Ashington!) in a July 4 celebration concert.

The event will mark the debut for the organisation, which was formerly the village pantomime group.

It will offer a first half of American music, where the audience can see the group’s own version of Dolly Parton, Kenny Rogers and a scene from South Pacific, followed by a second half with special guests Loose Change, a popular Pegswood favourite.

The event takes place on Thursday at Pegswood Community Hub, from 7pm to 10pm.

Tickets cost £5 adults, £4 concs, and include food and refreshments. They are available from the community hub.
