A MORPETH store is again giving its backing to a major annual charity event.
Marks and Spencer in Sanderson Arcade is taking part in Macmillan Cancer Support’s World’s Biggest Coffee Morning next month for the second year.
The store will donate 50p from every coffee sold in its cafe on Friday, September 30, to the cancer charity’s fund.
It is also giving 10p from every sale of nine food products until Tuesday, October 4.
Macmillan Fund-raising Manager Jill Campbell said: “It’s fantastic that M&S is supporting the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning throughout August and September and great that the store in Morpeth is getting involved.
“We hope that the coffee morning raises a huge amount of money this year to help people affected by cancer so once you’ve treated yourself in the M&S cafe, please don’t forget to sign up to host one yourself. It’s simple and lots of fun.”
The official coffee morning falls on Friday, September 30, but people can organise one whenever is convenient.
