THE 86th season of Ponteland Repertory Society begins with performances of Peter Pan the Musical.
Children and adults alike have fallen under the spell of Neverland, a place where children can fly and exciting, frightening adventures happen every day.
In 1985, Piers Chater Robinson adapted JM Barrie’s book for the stage and now, almost 30 years later, his innovative Peter Pan musical score is well-known and loved with professional and amateur productions worldwide.
Published by Samuel French (London), it is regularly performed by community groups.
The familiar characters are still there – Peter, Wendy, John, Michael, the dastardly Captain Hook and his sidekick Smee, Tiger Lily, the Lost Boys, pirates, Neverland Indians, fairies, Nana the pet dog and the crocodile.
The Ponteland Repertory Society performances will take place in Ponteland Memorial Hall, Darras Road, between Tuesday and Saturday, December 1.
