A FARCICAL murder mystery will be the next offering of a Morpeth drama group.
St George’s Community Players will present Wanted – One Body in March.
The play, dubbed ‘a farcical chiller’ by Raymond Dyer, finds old Mr Barraclough dead, leaving a fortune to be split between his stepdaughters and staff, but his body has disappeared and a killer is on the loose.
The whodunnit places suspicion on a range of colourful characters, from the dippy maid to the undertaker, and promises to leave the audience guessing to the end.
It will be staged at St George’s Church Hall from Thursday, March 17 to Saturday, March 19, starting at 7.30pm each evening.
Tickets cost £5, £4 concession, and are available from Morpeth Chantry on 01670 500700.
