SUMMER nights are coming early to Ponteland High School as students are putting on a new production of hit musical Grease.
Those involved are currently hard at work in preparation for the show’s opening night on Wednesday, March 28, at Ponteland Memorial Hall from 7pm.
The run also includes a matinee at 1pm on Thursday, March 29.
Associate Headteacher Anita Brown said: “There’s a real wealth of musical and acting talent at Ponteland High and this show should really raise our profile as a centre of excellence in the arts, as well as being lots of fun for cast and audience alike.”
Everyone at the school has had an opportunity to support the production, thanks to a fund-raising Grease-themed non-uniform day for both students and staff and an art competition to design promotional tickets and posters.
Tickets are priced £5 for premium seats in the front two rows and £3 for elsewhere in the hall.
