MORPETH hosts all the fun of the panto next week.

Performances of the Lambton Worm by the Morpeth Pantomime Society (MPS) are taking place at King Edward VI School on Thursday, January 23 (7pm), Friday, January 24 (7pm) and Saturday, January 25 (2pm and 7pm).

Last month, members did some carol singing at Morrisons – 50 per cent of the proceeds went to Barnabas Safe and Sound – and the group was also present at the traders’ Christmas market. Some short performances by the junior members added to the atmosphere.

Ben Gammer of MPS said: “Rehearsals are going very well and we’re looking forward to putting on a fun family show. We’ve updated the music a little to appeal to a younger audience.”

Tickets, priced at £5, are available from The Chantry, by calling 0191 2566544 or via www.mor pethpantomimesociety.ticketsource.co.uk
