The role will cover the Northumberland Gazette, Berwick Advertiser, Morpeth Herald and News Post Leader.

We want someone who understands and will champion the towns as our businesses and communities start to recover from the global coronavirus pandemic.

The successful candidate will be able to support the editor in overseeing the day-to-day operation in print and online, deputising in their absence.

We need someone who has plenty of creative ideas, is cool under pressure, has great news judgement and enjoys nurturing young talent.

You will have at least three years' experience in a senior editorial position and will be used to responding quickly to breaking news stories as well as planning content and campaigns for the future.

You must be a good communicator and be able to work in a fast-paced news environment, with skills in both print and digital production.

You will be passionate about the North East and the titles and be a representative for both in the local community and beyond.
