Chris appoints ‘dream team’
The Morpeth resident who created a location-specific loyalty app has announced the appointment of an experienced Board of Directors.
This follows Chris Reed successfully securing co-investment from Mercia Technologies and Jenny Campbell, a former Dragon in the BBC show Dragons' Den, for ProxiSmart Ltd, the umbrella company for the free ParkingPerx app.
Coming from a wide range of sectors, the board has been specifically designed to add value and traction in different areas.
Chris said: “ParkingPerx involves several stakeholders from very different specialties.
“Whether it’s town centre merchants, car park operators, consumers, local authorities or place managers, we have different audiences – each of which require different strategies.
“I needed to assemble a team with experienced business minds, who will help the company grow from strength to strength.
“I also focused on gaining team members who have a specific knowledge in these specialist areas.
“I’m delighted that I have my dream team, which also includes Jenny Campbell.”
Diane Cheesebrough, who has taken up the position of Chair of the Board, said: “ProxiSmart is an exciting and compelling prospect, bringing forward products that will support Smart Cities and the environment for years to come.
“I am extremely proud to be involved.”
The other Board of Directors are Sam Morton and Gary Hunter, CCO and CEO respectively of Redu Group, Martin Blackwell, place management consultant and former CEO of the Association of Town Centre Management, Medi Parry-Williams, operations director at Dransfield Properties, and Ken Dunbar, Advance Northumberland managing director.
ParkingPerx has linked-up with big name high street brands and merchants where shoppers will be able to earn their free parking rewards. For more information, go to www.parking perx.com
Ms Campbell said: “Chris has surrounded himself with very talented, experienced people. I’m looking forward to adding value, but I now know the company is in good hands.”
