The plant, which has a 146-strong workforce, has been recognised for its exceptional health and safety standards by RoSPA. It completes stringent employee safety and accident prevention assessments at organisations throughout the UK.

Orders of Distinction are presented to companies that have achieved gold ratings for more than 15 years. This year is Lynemouth Power Station’s 24th consecutive year of getting the highest standard. It is currently converting from fossil fuels to full biomass electricity production.
