The former RAFA Club building on Wellway, known as Elm House, is being converted into a new fine dining restaurant and is due to open later this year.

Members of Morpeth Forum, a partnership between the county and town council, visited the refurbished building to see first-hand the progress that has been made.

Richard Wearmouth, county council cabinet member for economic development, said: “Throughout our engagement events, people have told us they want buildings to be occupied and brought into good use.

“The forum was very impressed by this high-quality conversion, which provides fantastic views across Morpeth.”
