Morpeth Town WI
The ladies of Morpeth Town WI held an afternoon tea celebration at St Mary’s Inn, Stannington.
They were marking two years of the Morpeth Town WI group, and in recognition of the Queen’s birthday the ladies raised a glass of bubbly to mark both of these significant events.
The afternoon tea was just one of many well supported events and meetings that the relatively new group has enjoyed.
President Sarah Scarlet said: “It has been another really great year for the WI and the Morpeth Town group.
“We have welcomed new guests and membership has continued to grow. We have enjoyed a wide range of interesting speakers and lots of social events. We had lots of fun too learning new skills and making friends.
“The group will be moving in September to St Aidan’s Hall at Stobhill, which will provide a much larger meeting space and facilities to accommodate the growing needs of the group.”
Meeting dates and times will be available on The National Federation of Women’s Institutes website.
