A one-off performance by a popular Northumberland orchestra is to chime out at one of Morpeth’s churches this weekend.
The Bewick Orchestra will be travelling to the town to perform at St James the Great Church on Saturday to help raise funds for Hadrian School.
The Newcastle-based school caters for children with complex, severe, profound and multiple learning difficulties, and serves children throughout Northumberland.
The autumn concert will feature Hummel’s trumpet concerto in E flat major, Puccini’s Crisantemi and Beethoven’s Symphony No 3, Eroica.
The concert at the Copper Chare venue will be led by orchestra leader Anna Hatch, and begins at 7.30pm.
Tickets are priced at £8 and £5 for students. Each ticket includes a free glass of wine.
They are available from Morpeth Chantry Tourist Information Centre by calling 01670 623455, or on the door.
