Dig in and help, says garden centre

A GARDEN centre near Morpeth is calling on green-fingered organisations in the area to get involved with its upcoming events.

From talks about a particular subject to its annual Vegetable Show, Heighley Gate Nursery and Garden Centre is asking horticultural clubs and societies to get in touch.

General Manager Roger Wale said: “We put on lots of events all year round and we would love to hear from any gardening clubs or societies that would like to get involved.

“We would also like to hear from any Women’s Institute federations in the area too.

“Perhaps a group would be interested in having a stand in the garden centre to display their home grown plants, or maybe an expert would be interested in doing a talk for our visitors.

“It could be something to tie in with one of our existing events or we could do something completely new. We’re open to any ideas and can offer the garden centre as a free venue.”

Any groups or societies that would like to find out more can contact Events Co-ordinator Sarah Tait on 01670 513416.
