The animal featured in the Image of Yesteryear section of the Morpeth Herald on February 20 has been identified.

A camel took up residence on a farm next to the village of Longhorsley 25 years ago and Mrs Ross got in touch to say that it was named Gloria and belonged to the Prescott family.

Since then, they have built up an impressive range of exotic animals, including wallabies, llamas, emus, ornamental pheasants, tortoises, parrots and macaws as well as more camels. They also have a flock of rare-breed Wensleydale sheep.
