A SPECIAL Scottish garden is the subject of the next meeting of the North East England Group of the Alpine Garden Society.
Guest speaker Julia Cordon has been directing the development of The Explorers Garden in Pitlochry since its inception.
She will be talking about the facility and her work there, using pictures to illustrate it.
The garden is laid out in geographical zones and exhibits the work of the Scottish explorers through the plants they discovered.
The meeting will take place in St Mary’s Church Hall in Thornhill Road, Ponteland, on Monday from 7.30pm. Admission for visitors is £2.
