With Halloween just around the corner, things are getting a little more spooky at Belsay Hall, Castle and Gardens.

A whole host of activities are being lined up at the popular heritage venue this weekend and will continue until the beginning of next month.

Throughout each day between 11am and 5pm, a variety of spooktacular-themed events will be taking place.

On each day at 11am, a variety of ghost stories will be told with an in-house story teller.

At noon, visitors will be able to find out how to find a witch. They will join an interpreter who knows the different kinds of witches, how you can find out if someone within the group is a witch and how to protect yourself.

At 1pm you can discover the dangers inside a Victorian home for both the upper classes and more so for the servants below.

The events then repeat at 2pm, 3pm and 4pm every day. The events are free with general admission. Visit
