THERE’S certainly been a few changes in Morpeth’s Oldgate since this photograph was taken.
The postcard image captures the former Anderson’s Brewer and Wholesale Wine and Spirits premises and is believed to have been taken more than 100 years ago.
The photograph was submitted by 86-year-old Eva Shotton, whose father Jack ran a general dealers in the premises some years later.
Ms Shotton herself worked in the shop from the age of 14 until she was 54, but she knows little about its history before her family took it over.
She said: “I used to have three of four photographs of the shop from when I had it, but I lost a lot of photographs in the flood.
“I managed to save this one though.”
