A novel talk for members

Morpeth Tangent

MEMBERS of Morpeth Tangent were delighted to welcome Caroline Dominey, Manager of the local branch of Waterstones, to their October meeting at Pepperpot Restaurant.

She gave a lively account of her working life here in Morpeth, which showed her great enthusiasm for her job and her obvious love of books.

Ms Dominey brought a selection of new books, which have just been put on the shelves for Christmas.

These included novels, biographies, cookery books and children’s books from authors known throughout the country and also from local writers who visit the store from time to time to promote their books.

She talked knowledgeably about each book and told of events in the store that help to give children a love of reading and that might help parents and grandparents to entertain in school holidays.

Ms Dominey’s talk was much appreciated by all.
