The team at St Aidan’s Church in Stobhill – including Fliss Tunnard and Rev Beth Rookwood – gave out bacon sandwiches on two mornings and chatted to members of the community.

Fliss said: “It was useful doing it over two days as quite a few people who saw us but didn’t come over on the first day did come over to speak to us on the second day. We raised £41 for Christian Aid.

“We had some really good conversations about the projects we’re running and upcoming events at the church.”

All the bacon and rolls were donated by the Morpeth branch of Morrisons.
