Day centre users are seeing the power of business support.
Lynemouth Day Centre, which caters for about 20 clients a session, has received £4,000 from Lynemouth Power to buy three wheelchairs and maintain its fleet of mini-buses.
Clients use the centre to meet friends and take part in various activities, such as crafts and carpet bowls. The mini-buses provide transport from people’s homes to the Albion Terrace facility, as well as access to its allotment.
Lynemouth Power Works Director Vaun Campbell said: “The power station and the day centre are both big parts of this community so I’m delighted we’ve been able to support its fantastic work.”
