Tritlington Young Farmers Club (YFC) will soon be holding a fun afternoon that promises plenty of entertainment and tasty treats.

There will be a bar, live music and disco at the Steak and Strawberries Afternoon, which will take place at Todburn East Farm, Longhorsley.

Tickets are £15 each – this will include Pimm’s on arrival, a steak meal and dessert.

The steaks are being provided by the R Green & Son family butchers of Longframlington, followed by Morwick Ice Cream from its award-winning dairy herd.

Edward Dungait, club secretary, said: “We held a similar event last year, from which over £1,300 was donated to the #StayStrongStu campaign.

“This year, we decided that Action Medical Research (a children’s charity) was a very worthy choice of charity to support.”

Tritlington YFC is a youth organisation open to anyone aged between 14 and 26 and it organises a range of activities.

At the County Rally event earlier this month, good results from members included success in the club display, floral art, photography, bolster and bar, and first-time farmers competitions.

There is also a great social scene in the Northumberland YFC area, with dinner dances, balls and parties to enjoy.

The event at Todburn East Farm will be held on Saturday, July 2. To book tickets, call Edward on 077462 30860 or club chairman Tim Michie on 078768 61855.
