Anglers reel in the changes at AGM

A LONG-RUNNING angling group has reeled in the changes at its 106th annual general meeting.

Wansbeck Angling Association held the meeting for the first time at Guide Post Social Club.

And there were more changes as Murray Russell stepped down as Chairman after more than 20 years in the role. He was made an honorary member of the club for his service and presented with a small token of appreciation.

The Chairman’s position was taken over by former Vice Chairman Doug Graham.

“I will try in the next 12 months to increase the membership and the number of fish we put into the Wansbeck. I would also like to thank Morpeth Town Council for its contribution towards this,” he said.
