Friends of Morpeth Museum (FoMM) will be holding its annual general meeting on Tuesday, at St James’ Community Centre, Wellway.

The formal part of the AGM will be followed by a heritage quiz, which should be both interesting and entertaining for anyone (not just members) concerned with the history, traditions and culture of the area.

FoMM has played an active role in the wider umbrella Morpeth Heritage Network, including part-funding the feasibility study into the prospects for self-sustaining cultural and heritage facilities in the town.

It has continued in its role of raising awareness of the need and funds for a town heritage museum, with several social fund-raising events.

Some of the money raised has gone to support the work of its sister organisation, the Morpeth Antiquarian Society, and also the annual Morpeth Northumbrian Gathering festival.

The meeting starts at 7.30pm.
