Angels for Europe will go on a whistle-stop tour of the four parliamentary constituencies of Northumberland tomorrow to mirror Prime Minister Theresa May visiting all four UK nations on the anniversary of sending the Article 50 letter to the EU.

Members will be in Morpeth Market Place between 11.30am and 12.15pm.

They will also be in Hexham outside the Abbey (9.45am to 10.30am), Alnwick by the Market Cross (1pm to 1.45pm) and Blyth by St Mary’s Church (2.30pm to 3.15pm).

At each location, they will be handing out leaflets and inviting people to fill in postcards to send to MPs calling on them to support a UK ratification referendum or People’s Poll.

This will take place on a Remain in EU Campaign National Action Day, which is being called for by European Movement UK, Open Britain and Britain for Europe to urge support for a ratification referendum by the people of the UK once the Brexit deal to leave the EU is known.

Angels for Europe is a grassroots, all party – and none – movement of people set-up in March 2017. It works across all four constituencies of Northumberland to ‘galvanise and give a voice to those 48 per cent who voted to remain in Europe’.
