Those attending will be able to choose from a range of exciting free courses, lasting from one to three days, between July 11 and 14 at the campuses in Ashington and Kirkley Hall, near Ponteland.

They include hospitality and catering, photo shoots, media and special effects make-up, robotics, construction, engineering, looking after horses or exotic animals and agriculture.

On Tuesday, July 12, all summer school students will come together for a social event to meet new friends and enjoy a buffet.

Northumberland College principal Marcus Clinton said: “Would-be college students should book now to guarantee their space, as some of our summer school short courses are proving very popular.”
