Leeds Building Society’s branches in the North East raised £1,750 in 2015 for the Guide Dogs charity.
Staff did a variety of challenges and activities to bring in the cash.
The fund-raising got under way in the spring, with colleagues from the mutual’s Morpeth and Wallsend branches manning a stall during the Blyth Battery Second World War re-enactment weekend at Blyth beach.
Other initiatives during the year included raffles, cake sales and coffee mornings and all of the North East branches sold Guide Dogs pin badges.
Pippa Turner, from Guide Dogs in the North East, said: “We are absolutely delighted that our local Leeds Building Society branches chose to support the charity this year.
“It costs us almost £50,000 to support each guide dog partnership and Guide Dogs don’t receive any Government funding for the service.”
