Housebuilder Barratt Homes North East has donated £500 from its South Fields development in Morpeth to the Stobhill Community Forum’s Big Lunch.

The money will help towards food and entertainment for the third annual Big Lunch, which takes place from 11am to 4pm on Sunday, at the Barnabas Youth and Community Centre.

Morpeth town councillor for Stobhill, Alison Byard, said: “We’re very thankful of the donation from Barratt Homes and it has made a big difference to our Big Lunch event.

“Everyone at the Forum and at Barnabas do a brilliant job at creating a strong and friendly community and we’re all looking forward to everyone coming together for the event.”

Becky Mortimer, sales manager at South Fields, said: “We’re delighted to be supporting The Big Lunch event at Barnabas Youth and Community Centre.

“Our focus is to help contribute to and support the communities in which we build and we hope that everyone attending the event has a fantastic time.”
