Each month, one of the traders at the Wednesday market in Morpeth tell their story. Next up is Julian Negrut, who runs Julian’s Fruit and Veg.
Just like the range of tasty fruit and vegetables the stall stocks, Julian’s business has grown and grown over the last few years after starting out as a home delivery veg box service in the Morpeth area.
He has been a market trader for five years now and prides himself on selling only the best high-quality fresh produce, most of which is grown in the North East, including carrots, beetroot and curly kale.
“The customers are always so happy and friendly and Morpeth really is a great market town,” he said.
“We need more people to support their local markets and shop here more often – as long as I have customers here, then I will be here.”
Julian, who also attends the Morpeth Farmers’ Market, grows a lot of his own vegetables in Kelso.
