The new manager of an accountancy firm’s Morpeth office is aiming to build upon the good work of his predecessor.
Stuart Moody has been promoted to head up Tait Walker’s Northumberland operation, which is located in Manchester Street.
In his new role, he will be responsible for developing its client base and supporting owner-managed and family-run businesses with all of their accounting and wealth management needs.
He will also implement a wealth of Xero knowledge and Cloud accounting skills to Tait Walker’s clients – a service geared towards helping small businesses keep finances secure, streamlined and efficiently managed through a cloud platform.
Mr Moody, who lives in Warkworth, has been with the North East firm for more than 14 years. He will take over the reins from his predecessor of 30 years Mavis Lawley, the office’s previous manager who is now stepping into retirement.
He said: “Small businesses, and particularly those in rural areas of Northumberland and the wider North East, are increasingly embracing online accountancy since Tait Walker introduced the service in 2013.
“Xero gives them better control of their day-to-day finances, accessibility, affordability and a simple process for ‘doing the books’, so it would be great to think that one day soon we will be the ‘go to’ hub for North East SMEs’ Xero requirements.
“Mavis has left big shoes to fill, having built stellar client relationships over the years, but I’m up for the challenge and looking forward to this next phase of business progression for the Northumberland team.”
