COMPLAINTS about the region’s water company have reduced.
The Consumer Council for Water (CCWater) has released its Complaint Handling in the Water Industry report for April 2010 to March 2011.
It shows that Northumbrian Water received 6,193 complaints in 2010/11 compared to 6,646 in 2009/10.
The company was below average for billing and charges, water and sewerage complaints, with a 40 per cent drop in complaints about sewerage services.
It is also among the lowest in the country for complaints that CCWater needs to investigate.
