Free digital training is on offer to Northumberland business bosses – and they may not even have to leave their sofa.

Arch Northumberland development company is offering the programme to businesses looking to develop their online presence.

It aims to help people to benefit from the latest technology to manage and grow their business online, providing a bespoke fully-funded support package, including one-to-one sessions with advisers in a workshop, access to an online learning portal, master classes and financial incentives.

The online portal can be accessed at any time so busy business owners can boost their digital skills over the Christmas period from their office or sofa.

Master classes to complement the portal offer further knowledge development and in-depth tuition from experts.

After completing 12 hours of training, eligible businesses will qualify for 12 months of free superfast broadband, worth up to £400, or can claim back the cost of installation if they already have it.

Arch Chairman Dave Ledger said: “We are encouraging all businesses in the county, from new start-ups to well-established companies, to come together in this festive season to improve their knowledge of social media, SEO, cloud technologies, online tendering and more.

“The online courses can easily be completed from home on a tablet or laptop so why not make the most of the time away from your everyday routine and learn something new?”
