Key CLA man goes to AGM

The CLA’s national deputy president Ross Murray recently visited Northumberland to take part in a special tour of the stunning Capheaton Hall near Wallington.

He joined a group of more than 70 regional CLA members who were attending the association’s North East branch AGM at the Grade I-listed house and family home of the Browne-Swinburnes.

Mr Murray, who will become the CLA’s national president at the end of this year, took the opportunity to update me-mbers on its latest lobbying successes. These include the relaxation of planning restrictions around old agricultural buildings and new laws to clamp down on fly-tipping.
