Morpeth’s Barluga restaurant has invested £50,000 in a new function room.
The Sanderson Arcade venue was opened by the Newcastle-based Vaulkhard Group in 2011.
The new room, able to accommodate up to 64 diners, is just off the main first-floor dining room at the restaurant.
The company also owns the Central Bean Coffee Shop at the arcade.
Ollie Vaulkhard, Managing Director of the family firm, said: “We wanted to create a really stunning and flexible space with that real Barluga look, and we’re delighted with how the new function room looks.
“We are already receiving inquiries and bookings, which is great and we’ve had some lovely feedback, from people seeing the room for the first time.
“We are delighted to be investing further in our Morpeth restaurant and bringing a new attraction and something different to the arcade.”
Arcade Centre Manager Medi Parry said: “Barluga is really popular with our shoppers and visitors here at the arcade, and we are delighted the company is expanding and investing here in Morpeth.
“The new room looks fantastic. The attention to detail is fantastic, and it’s a real transformation. It definitely has the wow factor.”
