A Northumbrian interior designer has created a new line of homeware made entirely of fabrics she has produced herself.

Alison Ellerbrook owns and runs Hunkydory Home, an online boutique, from her house in Longhorsley.

She has been making lampshades and cushions for a decade, but her latest line is the first created from fabrics which she has designed herself. The bright collection features two retro floral designs, inspired by a childhood in Scandinavia and a love of vintage design.

Alison said: “I’ve always loved using retro design and bright colour in the home.

“It’s incredibly satisfying to create my own collection, and I hope others love it as much as I do.”

The Isobel Flowers design features cream flowers set against a vibrant orange, red and teal, blue or golden yellow background.

Her Martha Flowers design features a round floral motif in two colour combinations – orange, red and blue, and teal blue and sunshine yellow against a cream background. Lamps, lampshades and cushions are available in both designs, and a set of coasters is available in the Isobel Flowers collection only.

Hunkydory Home was launched in 2005, offering a range of lampshades and cushions in bright fabrics, with most products being made to order.
