STUNNING homes across Northumberland will be throwing open their doors to househunters this weekend.
Estate agent Strutt and Parker is hosting the Open House Day on Saturday as part of a national sales initiative.
It follows the success of previous events, which last year saw almost 2,000 viewings take place, offers totalling more than £50m be received and 825 properties take part.
This year’s event on Saturday will include exclusive homes in The Dell and Fairmoor in Morpeth, Tranwell Woods and Ulgham, as well as building plots in Medburn.
Agent Samuel Gibson, of Strutt and Parker’s Morpeth office, said: “In the current market this event really creates a buzz that actually makes a difference and should guarantee results.
“In August, one particular house in the South, for example, had a record-breaking 50 viewings. This kind of thing would never occur normally so the Open House Day effectively fast-forwarded the sales process.
“It is a really good incentive to be part of and to put your house on the market and to get ahead of the summer market, especially in the difficult market conditions. This will put your property in the best possible position with the most chance of serious buyers coming through the door and making serious offers.”
All participating properties are open to view between 10.30am and 3pm.
