THE Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) North East has launched its search for high-quality new civil engineering projects.
The Robert Stephenson Awards is a prestigious annual celebration of excellence which highlights outstanding design and construction, either within the region or by companies or organisations based in the North East.
Prizes will be presented by the President of the ICE at its North East Dinner in April in two categories — projects valued greater than £4million and those valued at less than £4million.
Derek Smith, ICE North East awards scheme secretary, said: “The Robert Stephenson Awards are an annual celebration of our industry which, despite the economic climate, has continued to deliver excellent projects across the North East in recent years.
“We have presented awards to the teams behind some wonderful work in the past and are confident that, once again, the standard will be very high.”
Entry submissions must be received by noon on January 20, 2012. However, notification of intent to submit an entry must be received by December 16.
