CELEBRITY shepherdess Alison O’Neill will be calling into Morpeth to cut the ribbon on a new store.
Ms O’Neill, who is known as The Barefoot Shepherdess, is an author, walking guide and working shepherdess in Cumbria and has appeared on Radio Four’s Woman’s Hour and the BBC Countryfile programme. As a champion of the British wool industry, she will visit Morpeth on Saturday for the official opening of The Wool Room in Sanderson Arcade.
The online retailer specialises in high-quality British wool products, such as bedding and blankets, scarves and gifts, and the Morpeth shop is its first high-street outlet.
The ribbon-cutting will take place at 10am.
